Computerized Water Testing
Not only is it important to keep your pool water balanced for healthy swimming, but it can also help extend the life of your pool equipment and various pool surfaces. At Anthony & Sylvan retail locations we provide free in-store computerized water testing so you can check your water’s levels on a regular basis. We encourage customers to bring in a sample on a regular basis to ensure your pool is always clean and safe.
Our professional computerized water testing includes: testing of free chlorine, total chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, copper, iron and TDS (total dissolved solids). Upon request, we can also provide testing for nitrates or phosphates.
Water samples should be taken 12 -18” below the surface from the deep end of the pool while the pool is circulating. Your sample should be at least 8ozs and collected in a plastic container. Complimentary water sample bottles are available at any of our retail outlets upon request.
For the most accurate results, the sample should be tested within 2 hours from when the sample was taken from the pool. For the most accurate testing, we advise that you do not leave the water sample anywhere that might result in a temperature change of more than 10 degrees (i.e. a car left in a hot parking lot).
Should you prefer to do your water testing at home, we also offer a variety of water testing kits including test strips and liquid kits.
If you need help with the installation of any of our products or equipment found in our retail locations, ask us about our pool service department. We have qualified pool service technicians that can assist you with everything from pool openings and closings to equipment installations and weekly maintenance.
