Pool Coping Renovations
About Pool Coping
Pool coping is the material that surrounds the top edge of the pool. Pool coping serves multiple functions: protecting the pool shell and bringing the swimming pool level with the pool deck.
Pool Coping Options
Pool coping materials include brick, stone and concrete.
Brick pool coping is durable, cost-effective and comes in many different colors and shapes. Brick coping has a bullnose finish, which is when the coping edges are rounded off to provide a smooth finish with the pool and the pool deck.
Stone pool coping (limestone, travertine, granite or fieldstone) involves the use of natural stone and is available in a variety of colors and textures. The stone surface is durable and easy to clean. Stone pool coping has a more natural look and will blend nicely with your backyard.
Cantilever concrete has the ability to be poured and molded into any shape or design allows for extreme customization around the perimeter of your pool. Concrete is also incredibly durable, easy to maintain, and the least expensive pool coping option.
Pool Tile Renovations
Replacing the tile in your inground pool is necessary if your tiles are starting to fracture or break off from the side of your pool or spa. Tile renovations can also be done to change the cosmetic appearance of your pool. There are many tile colors, textures and shapes to choose from. The design experts at Anthony & Sylvan can help you find the tile that meets your design goals and budget.
Pool Decking Renovations
About Pool Decking
Pool decking refers to the area around your swimming pool. Most swimming pools feature poured-concrete pool decks because they are cost-effective, but there are a range of pool decking options available.
Pool Decking Options
Concrete pool decking is made of concrete and can be customized to add color, stamp a design onto it, or even imitate the look of natural materials. Concrete also allows you to add texture, creating a very slip-resistant surface. Concrete can crack or fade over time, so regular maintenance is a must in order to keep it in top shape. Concrete pool decking remains one of the most economical pool decking options available.
Paver pool decking is made of paving stone, travertine, slate or brick that can be designed into a variety of shapes and sizes. Anthony & Sylvan offers natural pavers, such as stone or slate, and manufactured pavers. Natural pavers are typically more expensive, but provide an elevated or more natural look for your pool. These styles are typically very slip-resistant and require little maintenance.
Spray pool decking, also known as Kool Deck, is a very popular choice as it is as durable as concrete yet significantly cooler to the touch. Spray decking is highly textured and slip-resistant and is available in a variety of colors. It is also less prone to cracking and can also be cleaned with soap and water, making maintenance easy.
